Jemma’s journey has taken a few unexpected turns, but that’s what makes her story so interesting!
Her love for helping others started early as when she was in primary school she won a competition that gave her the chance to visit a police station for the day — an experience she never forgot. From then on, she dreamed of joining the mounted or diving section of the police force. Later, during a work experience placement at a local primary school, Jemma discovered a new passion and considered becoming a teacher instead.
After some time in sixth form, she realised the education path wasn’t quite right for her. She joined BHS and worked her way through several roles before finding her stride in Payroll. While there, a former colleague who had moved into mortgage broking invited her to make the jump into the financial world. Jemma took the leap in 2016 as an Administration Assistant and became part of the LionHart team in May 2024.
Since joining LionHart, life outside of work has been just as exciting! Jemma and her partner have moved into their new home and are now preparing to welcome their first baby girl. When she’s not getting ready for her new arrival, she loves taking her dog Chester for walks, spending time with friends and family, and relaxing with a good scary movie or the latest Netflix series.
